In several years of our teaching career, we have observed that students face conceptual problems in many topics of chemistry. This site serves the purpose of bringing conceptual clarity to their minds thereby making them fundamentally strong and successful in application. All the topics are designed in a way that is simple to understand, interactive and conceptually sound. The USP of this site is the large number of practice questions. Multimedia can stimulate more than one sense at a time, the use of images, along with words, diminishes the overwhelming nature of text and helps the student to manage the cognitive load, which increases retention. Specifically, graphics are found to support retention because important elements are focused on via placement, layout and color. Activation of prior knowledge is engaged quickly with visual analogy, and mental models are created easily as diagrams can enhance understanding of how a concept works. Additionally, learning is made easier because simulations allow students to visualize real-life situations, and motivation is increased as students are able to see the relevance of skills.

A group can often produce better work than an individual. One person might put forward a thought or idea, often not completely formed or finished. Someone else picks up on it and takes it forward - that sparks off more ideas in others. Between them the group creates something much better than any one person could have done on their own. Learning by 'talking' is more powerful for most people than learning by reading. You think about things more deeply, and are more likely to remember the information.
